differences

Difference between two
There are some similarities between Andy Warhol and Banksy. Two of them uses silkscreen printing skill and set up their own art which explains they both are creative.

Tuesday

Banksy

BanksyBanksy is a British famous street artist which combines stencil and graffiti. There are huge amount of his fan especially from young people, because he is very talented, unusual, mysterious and naughty.
He became famous after he took his works to museums in London, and hanged them on the wall with little captions without any permission, even though no one noticed. He also does graffiti on public walls with Strong messages of normally anti-war using stencil print.

After he became famous, he had a lot of offers from well-known companies such as Microsoft, Nike, Sony, etc but he turned off all of them. The other thing makes him mysterious is he has never showed his face, he even has a spokesman to communicate with media.
His behavior makes his work's value higher, like Christina Aguilera bought an original of Queen Victoria as a lesbian and two prints for £25,000. The six silk-screen prints, featuring the model painted in the style of Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe pictures, sold for five times its estimated value.

He has been called "art terrorist" or "art guerrilla" because he displayed his works in museums, and he draw on walls in Israel, during that period he almost got shot by soldiers several times. He appears not only public places, he made a dummy of Paris Hilton's CD in HMV, it had exactly the same bar code as the real one on it. The real one and Banksy's one look so similar so HMV were selling them without any notice till spokesman's announcement.

Andy Worhol

Andy Warhol

I have been looking at Andy Warhol's work.
He is one of my favorite artist, because he is very good at matching colors. How to improve artist's colour sense is just practising, such as copying and developing then it will be assimilated as your sense of colour.

He studied commercial art at university and he started his working career as a magazine and advertising illustrator. According to researching about him, i found a reason he became a well- known pop artist. When he was in third grade he became an outcast among his school friends because of his disease so he was a bedridden child. What he did around his bed were drawing, listening to radio, and collecting movie star's pictures. Warhol described his experience of sickness made his preference and personality. He created a picture on what he always loved with silkscreen print skills which established fine arts.

His works gave me some hints to be a successful artist, artists have to consider what people want, and to be creative.
